EXPERIENCE
1958
Graduated from JOHN OLIVER HIGH SCHOOL. Employed as a Draftsman at
Dominion Bridge Company and performed in Vancouver’s first recording
rock’n’roll band “THE
PROWLERS”.
1960
Recorded No.1 hit recording “THE
BLAMERS”. Performed weekends and holidays throughout B.C.,
Alberta, Saskatchewan and Washington State at teen concerts and dances.
1962 – 1986
In partnership with radio personality “RED ROBINSON” formed a
company JAGUAR ENTERPRISES LTD to stage rock'n'roll concerts using top
US recording attractions including Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway
Twitty, Gene Vincent, Carl Perkins, James Brown, The Righteous Brothers,
Ray Charles, Tina Turner and more. The company subsequently became the largest
booking agents for teen talent in Western Canada.
1964 - 1969
Managed the PACIFIC NATIONAL EXHIBITION “DANCE PARTY” and
“TEEN-AGE FAIR” shows.
1965 – 1969
Conceived and operated a teen-age Night Club “THE GROOVEYARD” at 759
Carnarvon Street in New Westminster. A second GROOVEYARD was opened in
1968 on Davie Street in Vancouver. Sold for profit in 1969.
1969 – 1972
Conceived and operated the PURPLE STEER NIGHT CLUB in partnership with
Nashville recording artist BUDDY KNOX. Country Music was the main
attraction. Sold for profit in 1972.
1972 – 1974
Hired to promote and publicize KEJACK’S STEAK
PIT, an elaborate
“dine & dance” venue on Main Street in Vancouver. After a short
period of time, increased revenues justified the opening of a second
operation on Kingsway and a third operation in Richmond.
1976 – 1979
Moved to Nashville to work exclusively as Tour Manager for recording
star “ROY ORBISON.” After a short time became the defacto manager
and exclusive promoter and for all Roy Orbison concerts in the USA and Canada.
1979 – 2014
Created and developed “ELVIS.ELVIS,ELVIS” musical revue which
successfully toured major theatres from coast to coast in Canada and the
United States during the early 1980's. The show ultimately toured world-wide and still earns
residual royalties today.

1986
In partnership with radio personality RED ROBINSON created &
produced the “LEGENDS OF ROCK’N’ROLL” series for LABATT
BREWERIES at EXPO 86. There were two shows every Sunday at Expo Theatre
and featured a total of 43 original rock’n’roll recording stars.
1987 – 2019
Created & produced the “LEGENDS OF
ROCK’N’ROLL” touring revue featuring lookalike performers
replicating live performances of ELVIS, ROY ORBISON & BUDDY HOLLY.
The show still tours major theatres in Canada and the United States. The
first version of this concept was called “HEROES OF ROCK’N’ROLL
and became the original cast of a revue still playing in Las Vegas
today… John Stuart’s LEGENDS IN CONCERT. This entertainment concept is
still a world leader in the tribute industry.

1993 – 2006
Major investor and partner in the MERRITT
MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL. Former Site Manager and Associate Producer
of Canada's largest country music festival. Abandoned the company due to
disagreement over the current vision and direction taken. Devoted
full-time to concert promotion.
1995 – 2004
Created and produced “THIS
LONELY HEART” a musical story of the life and times of ROY ORBISON.
The show still tours world-wide and continues to earn residual
royalties.
2008 - 2019
Restructured Jaguar Entertainment to Jaguar Music Group with new partner
LTC Ventures / Wayne Webb. Continued co-production of tribute concerts
including the development of new shows and maintaining administration of
license fees and performance royalties from previous works.
2012 - 2018
Created and produced
"COUNTRY GOLD" a touring revue featuring lookalike performers
Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Reba
